This replacement filter cartridge works with the following filtration systems:
- Whole House (AS-WH)
- Chloramines Whole House (EQ-400)
- Whole House Salt-Free Water Softener
The Austin Springs Whole House Sediment Pre-Filter provides first stage filtration for the Whole House System to reduce rust, sediment and silt. Pre-Filters should be replaced every 25-50,000 gallons depending on usage.
Select from a 4-pack of 10" or 20" Sediment Pre-Filters. Order 20" if you have a 20" pre-filter housing from the professional installation kit. Order 10" pre-filters if you have a 10" pre-filter housing.
How to Know When to Replace Your Filter
Sediment levels vary from one location to another. During the first year of use, we recommend that you inspect your pre-filter monthly. The sediment pre-filter is white when you initially install it.
Once you can no longer see white, or the flow rate has noticeably decreased, it is time to replace the filter with a new one. Allowing sediment to continue to collect can cause clogging and restrict the flow of water into your home.
