If you are looking for a way to reduce chloramines from your shower, this one of the only shower filters we have found that is independently tested and proven effective at reducing chloramines plus over 200 contaminants.

Most shower filters are designed to remove free chlorine but are not effective at reducing chloramines and other contaminants.
Not sure which disinfectant your water company uses? Search for the water quality report from your water company online. It will tell you which disinfectant is used.
Independent lab reports show the ProMax reduces/removes a broad range of 200 + contaminants including VOC’s, lead, fluoride, heavy metals, arsenic, pesticides, SVC’s, disinfectants, inorganic non-metallics, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, PFOA, PFOS, and micro-organisms. Helps improve taste and odor. Tested to NSF-42 and 53 standards.
The ProOne™ shower filter is made from ABS plastic with a chrome finish and is BPA free. Best operated at 80 psi and 115º F. Fits 1/2” NPT, ISP and BSPT pipe thread standards. The Promax Shower Filter comes with five function swivel massaging showerhead rated at 2.0 gallons/minute.
Installs easily. Simply unscrew your existing shower head from your shower arm, wrap the pipe with some silicon tape, and screw on your new Promax to start enjoying a cleaner and healthier shower experience!
Please note that the filter cannot be used with your existing shower head.

We searched to find a shower filter that effectively reduces chloramines. We only considered filters whose results were tested and certified by an independent third party. It also had to maintain a good water flow rate of 2.0 gal/min. ProOne ProMax was the only one we found that met our standards.
Note: If you want to remove free chlorine and not chloramines, we recommend Sprite Shower Filters. Sprite Shower Filters are certified to remove 99% of free chlorine while maintaining a flow rate of 2.5 gpm and is the best we have found for free chlorine reduction, but they will not reduce chloramines.
The Benefits of a Shower Filter:
Many people filter their drinking water to remove chlorine and other contaminants (which we strongly recommend) but did you know that 50% of your daily chlorine and/or chloramine exposure occurs in the shower. In a hot shower chlorine and chloramines can exist as both a liquid (which can be absorbed through the skin) and a gas (which can be inhaled).
Apart from the known health risks associated with chlorine and chloramines, exposure in the shower and bath can lead to dry and flaking skin as well as dry, brittle hair. It only makes sense to remove these chemicals from your water before you bathe or shower in it.
